From Manual to Automated: An Irish Agency's Reporting Story
Every Irish agency has the same weekly ritual: pull Search Console, pull GA4, pull the ads accounts, paste into a deck, write the same narrative, send. The ritual costs a day per account manager, every single week. Here is the version we build for agencies, and how it changes the week.
The before state
The account manager’s Monday is spreadsheet archaeology: five logins, three exports, one template, and an afternoon of assembly before a single insight is written. The insight, the only part the client pays for, arrives exhausted.
The build
- One MCP bot connected to Search Console, GA4, the ads accounts, and Slack, the wiring from our MCP guide.
- One template with the numbers that drive decisions: traffic, leads, spend, rankings, and AI share of voice, which clients now expect.
- A schedule. The daily internal digest and the monthly client report assemble themselves.
- The human layer stays on the narrative. The agent assembles; the account manager writes the three lines on what happened, why, and what next.
The working version is our MCP reporting bot case study, and the build order is the one in our reporting guide.
The after state
The Monday ritual becomes a Monday review: the digest is waiting, the anomalies are flagged, and the account manager starts at the insight instead of ending at it. The hours saved are weekly and permanent, which is the economics that make reporting automation the highest-return build an agency can commission, per the AI ROI method.
Why the narrative still matters
Automation removes the assembly, not the judgment. The agencies that keep a human on the narrative, and tell the client that is how it works, are the ones whose reports stay valuable. The agencies that send raw digests lose the client relationship the report existed to build.
